Privacy Policy
Last updated 14 August 2026
Vita builds and runs marketing for local businesses. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how you get it back or get it deleted. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Who we are
Vita is operated by an independent sole proprietor. You can reach a human at hello@tryvita.app for any question in this document, including deletion requests.
What we collect
- What you type into our form: your business name, your town, and what you do. That is the whole form — we do not ask for your phone number. When your site is ready we hand you a short code and you text us first, so we only ever have a number for someone who chose to message us.
- Your messages with Vita: the text conversation, and any photos or files you send us. This is how the service works — Vita is operated by texting it.
- Public information about your business: your Google Business Profile, your reviews, your existing website, and your public social pages. We collect this from public sources and from Google, and we verify it belongs to you before we use it.
- Accounts you choose to connect: if you connect Facebook, Instagram, or your Google Business Profile, we receive access to post on your behalf and to read the performance figures for your listing.
- Basic usage data: which pages were visited and which steps of signup were completed, on our website. See Our own website, and our own advertising below for exactly which tools do that and what they receive.
- Nothing at all from your customers. The website we build for you carries no analytics of ours, no advertising pixel, and no cookie of ours. We do not measure your visitors and we do not build advertising profiles of them. That is enforced by how the app is built, not by policy: our measurement code is mounted only on our own pages and cannot render on your domain.
Customer lists you send us. If you send Vita a list of your own past customers so we can help you win repeat work, that list is yours. We use it only to do the job you asked for. We never sell it, never share it with another Vita customer, and never use it to market to those people on our own behalf.
Text messages, and how to stop them
Vita is a text-message product. If you give us your number, you are asking us to text you about your own business — the website we built, work in progress, and things that need your say-so.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time and we stop texting you. Reply HELP for help. Nothing else is required — no form, no phone call.
- We do not sell your phone number, and we do not send you marketing for anyone else’s product.
Why we’re allowed to have it
We process what you give us in order to provide the service you asked for, and public business information because a marketing service cannot work without knowing what is publicly said about your business. Where consent is the basis — connected social accounts, text messages — you can withdraw it at any time and we act on it immediately.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of processors to run the service. They see only what they need to, and none of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes:
- Supabase — database and file storage.
- Vercel — application hosting and domain registration.
- Anthropic — the AI models that do the work. Business data sent to models is not used to train them.
- Apify and Firecrawl — collecting public information about your business.
- Zernio — publishing to Facebook, Instagram and Google Business Profile, and reading your listing’s performance figures.
- Apple (iMessage) and your mobile carrier — delivering the messages themselves.
We do not sell your personal information. The one place we share anything for advertising is described in full immediately below, it concerns only visitors to our site, and it never involves your customers or anything you have told Vita.
Our own website, and our own advertising
Everything in this section applies to tryvita.app only — our marketing pages and our signup form. None of it runs on the website we build for you, and none of it ever sees your customers.
- PostHog — product analytics: which page was opened and which step of signup was reached. It sets a first-party cookie to tell one visit from another. We have session recording and click autocapture switched off, so it never records what you type.
- Sentry — error reporting, so a page that breaks tells us instead of just failing.
- Vercel — page-speed measurement and bot protection on the signup form, which stops automated submissions.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram)— if we are running ads and you arrived from one, we tell Meta that the click became a signup. This happens two ways, and they report the same single event so it is not double-counted: the Meta pixel in your browser, and a server-to-server call from us. What Meta receives is your IP address, your browser’s user-agent string, Meta’s own click and browser identifiers from the ad you clicked, and the trade and town you typed. We do not send your name, your phone number, your email address, or anything from your conversations with Vita.
Under California law, sending Meta a conversion so it can measure and target advertising counts as sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising, so we say so plainly rather than claim we do none. It applies only to people who visit tryvita.app. To opt out, email us at hello@tryvita.app and we will exclude you — and browser-level signals such as Global Privacy Control, or any content blocker, will already stop the browser half.
How long we keep it
While you are a customer, and for 12 months after you leave, so that coming back doesn’t mean starting over. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will, except where we are legally required to keep a record of a transaction.
Your rights
Whatever state or country you’re in, you may ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@tryvita.app. We will not make you jump through hoops, and we will not charge you.
Your website and your domain are yours. If you cancel, you keep the website. If we bought a domain for you, it is registered in your name and we will hand you the transfer code on request — just ask Vita in the thread.
Children
Vita is a service for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell you in the message thread rather than quietly updating this page.
